New York New York - Hope Island Is A Dream To Review!

We recently heard that New York New York had opened in Hope Island and we were very excited as the reviews were amazing. My husband feels that he is a bit of a food critic and claims victory for finding the best steak in the world.
As a tapas, bar and steakhouse, inspired by the Americans, we knew exactly what we would receive but we were lucky enough to be greeted with even more.
The branding is a beautiful silhouette of a long horn's head and is quite stunning being black on a lighter wood background. It almost looks branded on. We arrived with no booking and luckily enough they could fit us in. The staff were extremely polite and friendly even though we were a surprise visit.
The dining area is well-lit without feeling too bright and it was relaxing from the moment we entered. We were offered water while we looked over the extensive drinks menu. There really was not any need for us to look too long as we both found a drink and dinner, choosing to skip over starters.
I had prosciutto wrapped chicken which was crispy without being dry with champagne. Bubbles are always a treat when I eat out. The vegetables were incredible with truffle oil mashed potatoes, baby carrots, broccoli and grilled corn on the cob. I chased it up with a classic New York Cheesecake.
My husband devoured the wagyu rib eye, jerk fries, baby carrots and grilled corn. The cracked pepper sauce on the side was apparently amazing, however I did not wish to stop eating my meal to test if he was correct. I will take his word for it. Scott finished with a coffee cheesecake that lasted just seconds on the plate.
The staff offered suggestions when needed without being of the hovering variety. They were extremely pleasant and just managed to arrive at the table as we needed them. We could also hear other diners commenting on how great they were.
We were so busy loving everything that we didn't look at the prices and come out with just under $120 for our bill which was worth so much more.
To me, dining out is about the whole experience. I am pleased to announce that New York New York covered every part of the night and we were a little sad that we could not try more of the menu in one evening. We will definitely return.
